A major high-security vault installation by Birmingham-based specialist manufacturer Warrior Doors has been formally recognised following the presentation of a Secured by Design Gold Award at Vitessa Vaults in Oakwood, North London.

The project saw Warrior Doors successfully complete a significant order for bespoke high-security vault systems at the independent safety deposit box centre, which operates one of the UK’s highest-rated commercial vault environments with a Grade 9 high-security vault and extensive on-site physical security measures.

Representatives from Secured by Design attended the site to formally present the Gold Award certification, recognising the facility’s exceptional standards in physical security design, crime prevention and operational resilience.

The accreditation marks a significant milestone for Vitessa Vaults, which has positioned itself as a premium independent provider of private safety deposit facilities for high-net-worth individuals, jewellery clients, collectors and businesses seeking enhanced physical asset protection outside traditional banking infrastructure.

On site to receive the certification was Warrior Doors Managing Director Brett Barratt, who said the project reflected growing demand for British-engineered security systems capable of exceeding increasingly stringent standards within the high-security sector.

“Clients operating at this level are no longer simply looking for a compliant door set or standardised vault solution,” said Barratt.

“They require engineered security environments where every component — from structural reinforcement and locking systems through to installation tolerances and operational reliability — has been designed to perform under extreme conditions. Projects like Vitessa Vaults demonstrate the level of technical capability now required within modern physical security manufacturing.”

Barratt said the project represented far more than a traditional supply-and-fit contract, involving extensive collaboration around specification, certification requirements, manufacturing precision and installation sequencing within a live, highly controlled environment.

“Security infrastructure of this calibre demands absolute precision,” he added.

“When you are dealing with Grade 9 environments and independently accredited facilities, there is no margin for compromise. The manufacturing integrity behind the product becomes just as important as the certification itself.”

The installation further strengthens Warrior Doors’ position within the specialist high-security market, where the company has increasingly been involved in complex projects spanning luxury retail, critical infrastructure, education, commercial property and specialist vaulting applications.

Unlike conventional entrance system suppliers, Warrior Doors manufactures and engineers its own bespoke security systems in the UK, allowing greater control over fabrication quality, certification compliance and project delivery.

Industry observers note that demand for independent vaulting facilities has increased steadily in recent years, driven by growing concerns around asset protection, high-value theft and the reduction of traditional bank-operated safety deposit services across the UK.

Vitessa Vaults has established itself as a specialist operator within that market, combining high-grade physical security with discreet client services and monitored on-site protection.

The project also highlights the increasing convergence between specialist manufacturing, architectural integration and security engineering, particularly within sectors where physical resilience now forms part of broader operational risk management strategies.

For Warrior Doors, the successful completion of the Vitessa Vaults project represents another landmark installation within a growing portfolio of high-security British manufacturing projects operating beyond standard commercial door systems and into fully engineered security environments.
