High Value Retail Case Study | Phillip Stoner

The Victoria Quarter in Leeds has been home to Phillip Stoner’s flagship store and Jewellery Workshop since 2008. On a January morning, in broad daylight the store was the victim of a traumatic armed robbery.

Four masked armed robbers gained easy access to the store via the previous Jewellers door, endangering both staff and customers during the raid. With the store now facing weeks of disruption Jonathan Stoner turned to Warrior Doors to swiftly design and manufacture a high security glazed front door, replacing the old door with a bespoke Warrior solution comprising of stainless-steel, anti-bandit glazing, a mahogany wood exterior finish and a premium locking system.

It was of paramount importance the Warrior Door fitted seamlessly with the stunning aesthetics of the Grade Two listed building and arcade. The Warrior team manufactured a stainless-steel framed door powder coated in RAL 9010 Mahogany with a LPS1270 20mm anti-bandit glazed panel, a combination that created a light welcoming outcome. The door was then beautifully clad with a sumptuous dark mahogany wood and finished with brass physical vapor deposition coated hardware.

The stunning results of this project are not only in keeping with the rich history of the stores surroundings but more importantly provide an ultra safe environment for staff and customers.

What the Client Said

“After a violet robbery we called on the help of Warrior Doors where Brett and the team came up with the perfect solution for our Grade Two listed site. The quality of the finished door is superb but more importantly the staff feel so much safer at work. Hopefully it will never be tested but its good to know we have a Warrior Door in place. Just wished we had fitted one years ago”!
