This tends to happen if a robber has disguised themselves as a customer to gain entry. In this situation staff and customers are immediately in danger. We are able to design security doors that don’t affect the look or feel of classic architecture. We aim to design out crime, but never character.
Safe Room Doors can be configured to be either fully glazed, solid stainless-steel or a combination of both. When designing a glazed solution we use specially sourced security glass for added protection. In most cases, an upper vision panel is recommended as it specifically enables staff to monitor what is happening instore while a robbery is taking place. This can be a key tool on the phone to the police who may request details from you.
Our high security Swing Doors act as a base design for our panic room doors. However, we make certain modifications appropriate for a panic room scenario. E.g. we do not choose to fit a door closer. This allows the door to stay open at all times for people to flee into the safe room if necessary.
The doors come with a choice of locking options. With all options either deadlocking automatically, or manually by quickly throwing thumb turns.
The door are fitted with a full width horizontal D handle to increase the speed in which staff and customers close the door behind themselves.
