A landmark private vault facility in North London has demonstrated how specialist physical security products are helping to raise standards across the UK’s high-value asset protection sector, with Warrior Doors playing a central role in the delivery of the country’s first private safety deposit facility to achieve the prestigious Secured by Design Gold Award.
Vitessa Vault, a purpose-built independent secure storage facility housed within a converted former bank building, has been recognised with the highest level of accreditation from Secured by Design (SBD), the official police security initiative that promotes crime prevention through effective design and security standards. For Warrior Doors, the project highlights the growing importance of integrating physical security systems into building design from the earliest stages of development, particularly where facilities are responsible for protecting high-value assets.
Working closely with the client throughout the project, Warrior Doors supplied a range of specialist security solutions designed to form part of the facility’s layered protection strategy. These included high-security access systems, specialist security doors and three of the company’s latest high-security display vaults, installed within Vitessa Vault’s boutique retail area.
The display vaults represent one of the most technically advanced products in Warrior Doors’ portfolio, having recently achieved the highest security rating ever awarded to a glass display cabinet following independent testing by the Building Research Establishment (BRE). They are now used to securely display luxury watches, jewellery, precious metals and other high-value assets while maintaining maximum protection.
The project also saw Warrior Doors advise on the specification, grading and installation of secure vault infrastructure, helping ensure every aspect of the physical security solution aligned with the demanding standards expected of a facility designed to protect clients’ most valuable possessions. The achievement of Secured by Design Gold provides independent recognition that the security measures incorporated throughout the building meet the highest standards for crime prevention through design, reinforcing the role specialist security manufacturers play in supporting architects, developers and end users on complex high-security projects.
